Panther Goes For First Win.

Panther Racing has won almost everything when it comes to the Indy Racing League. 2 Championships with Sam Hornish in 2001 and 2002, 11 Indy Car wins, 8 from Sam Hornish Jr. and 2 with Scott Goodyear, but never has a Panther car won the Indianapolis 500. Could this be year? Well Panther feels its there best shot ever. With three drivers qualified for this years 500, Panther does have the best chance. Tomas Scheckter, who was the 2002 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year, has led more laps at the Indy 500, then any other driver that qualified here. Tomas in the #4 Pennzoil Platinum Chevy will start 11th. Tomas Enge, the rookie, will make his first Indy 500 start and is a possible contender for the Rookie of the year award, Enge, 29, will start his #2 Rock Star Energy Drink Chevy in the 10th spot. Then Panther racing brought in the 3rd driver, the winner of the 1996 Indy 500, Buddy Lazier. Lazier, the 2000 Indy Car Series Champion, has always ran well at Indy with one win and 2 top 5 finishes. He will start 9th in the Jonathon Byrd Cafeteria, Espn Radio #95 Chevy.

Carb Day at Indy, always exciting.
With the new schedule's taking place for this years 500, an hour later start time, new qualifying format, and Carb being pushed from Thursday to Friday, it puts more excitement on Carb Day on that Friday. The events seem to never stop on Carb Day. At 10 a.m. the IRL will take to the track for an hour final practice session for the Indy 500, and now the Futaba Freedom 100, Infinity Pro Series race will be ran on that Friday at noon. Think thats enough? Then following the race, it will be the IRL's pit crews turn to display there talent at the Miller Light Pit Stop Competition, last year Buddy Rice's Argent Mortage team got it down by winning, which that confindence led them to the win in the Indy 500 last year
